To buy wild or aquacultured

I have arrived to a tough decision. Should I buy wild sps colonies form divers den, or should i invest in aquacultered? I don't have much experience with sps besides a birdsnest, clams, and an anemone.

only one of those is sps,

and your question, if you have to ask, go aquacultured. i didn't buy a wild colony for nearly a year after my first acro frags. you'll save yourself lots of money and despair. most ora stuff is pretty fast growing and colorful

What do you mean one of those is sps? I think going aquacultured is worth it, just so expensive.
Do you know of a good website with ora frags?

Aquacultured sps are the easier way to go...

But here in singapore wild shipments come in often ,,, much more than aquacultured

Only your birdsnest is SPS, the clam and anemone are not. That's what twon was saying.

Go aquacultured or buy from a local.

I think as responsible and environmentally conscious reef keepers we should always go with aqua cultured colonies/frags. Althought it is hard to do, for one, aqua cultured is often more expensive than wild caught. Secondly, we have all seen shipments of stunningly gorgeous wild colonies and we cant help ourselves but buy buy buy..

Go with aqua cultured. They are much hardier, retain color probably more than wild caught and don't forget (many people do) you are helping our remaining reefs.

Its not always about picking wild stuff but also trying to maintain what we have left. Im not saying don't buy wild, im just saying if you can choose, go with aqua cultured.

Best,

Clownreef.

Yeah you all have raised good points. Even though aquacultured is more expensive, it's worth the sake of the the reefs in the wild.
