Help me pic a shrimp goby?

I found a Caribbean pistol shrimp at a LFS and I wanna get him a little goby friend, but I'm not surewhat to get.

The little pistol shrimp looks exactly like this-

I was kinda thinking maybe a pink bar goby? What do you guys think. I kinda want one to match in color so they look like they are supposed to be together.

Thanks in advance

+1 on the Yashia Goby I have one that is really cool but it hides a lot. I also have a high fin goby that is out all the time and fun to watch.

I have a high fin with a randalli. They are cool and not too expensive. If you have the money, I would go with the yashia too.

Yeah Yashia's are cool, but I think they look best paired with randal's and every one has one. I was looking for something a little more unique.

I think a Yellow watchman or a Yashia. But i dont believe that a caribbean shrimp would pair with an Indian ocean fish.

whatever fish you get make sure the goby is bigger then the shrimp or else your shrimp will make a meal out of it.

I have a Yashia Haze Goby and he is absolutely gorgeous but I rarely see him since I have a large amount of rock work. If I got a randals pistol shrimp and they paired would I be more likely to see the shrimp since he would need to become look out?

I'm pretty sure that that pistol shrimp won't form a relationship with any gobies.

I think it depends on what cave they want to use most and where that cave entrance is. My guess, is that if you add a shrimp, you may not see him often either.

Hmm, well that stinks. I guess I should have done more research on him before I bought him.

Check out the numerous articles in the latest issue of coral for more on gobies/pistols. But the bottom line conclusion is that they usually don't pair together and one or the other is not seen again.
