nano, sps, lighting
Setting up a 2.5 gallon bowfront, barebottom, with sump, (some skimmer, not sure which) plenty of live rock, ato system. I have a 70 watt DE 10k from ushio with aromat 5eu ballast. I was hoping to do acro and more high light corals, but I know 70 watts may not be bright enough, i just cant find the par or lux or anything for 70 watt bulbs, or any for that matter. Any suggestions/ideas/links?

the par and lux for a 70w 10k bulb over a 2.5g nano will be phenomenal...don't worry about it. i kept A. mille/prostrata, A. tortuosa, crocea clam, Seriatopoa hystrix(birdsnest), and many other under 96w pc and 70w 14k in my old eclipse 12. the most important thing in a nano is water quality/stability, temp stability, flow, and lighting. if you can handle those, you can successfully keep an sps nano.

would the par and lux still be high enough over a 2.5 gal. for acros if i used a 20k bulb?

a 2.5 is fairly short, right? i wouldn't see too many problems with it. but i'd really go with an australux 14k bulb if i were you. just the right amount of blue(i have the 20k blv and the 14k australux).
