Orangeshoulder tangs

I bought my OS tang a few months ago and its grown from about 3" to close to five and has developed its orange spot. Has anyone had one go through the color change an how long or at what size did it begin to change? Every once in a while it looks darker but then the next day back to bright yellow, I have read a few things that said that they do not turn in captivity and I bought it for its adult colors.

I sure did.
It went from the smallest fish in my aquarium to the largest in about a year. Full blown adult coloration out of a tiny yellow fish about an inch long.

I was fortunate enough to see Gary's and it was the most intriguing fish. There's something about them that is very likable.
