Algae refugium Glen's 5 gallon

This is a description of my quarantine system. One of the most recent additions is the algae refugium. I wish I could claim the design as mine but it's really a modification to the 5 gallon algae refugium made by bergzy.

My 5 gallon Algae refugium:



First I drilled the 5 gallon bucket with three holes. All of them drilled at angles perpendicullar the the aquarium. Two large holes for the siphon tubes and one smaller one for the return pump back to the aquarium.







Attached to the aquarium.







Pumps installed.

Great video, Seems like a good setup for a qt or frag tank if you don't mind looking at a bucket.

isnt that to much flow for chaeto?
does it get stuck in the maxijets quickly?

I don't know how much flow chaeto needs. From other threads i've seen I thought it could take a lot. Does anyone have any other info? No the cheto doesn't get stuck if you angle the MJ600 pump (160 gal/hr) up about 45 degrees.
