been meaning to post about my transaction with Slovan for some time...but always up to my elbows in the new tank...

bought a light fixture, ballast (400w) and bulb (400w XM 20k) from him a while back.

package arrived in poor shape...ballast and fixture (boxed separately within one big box) were practically falling out of the big box. upon opening everything up, the ballast and fixture survived great--but the bulb was shattered...it was in the original XM sleeve and box but it sounded like a baby's rattle.

after calls to UPS and to slovan, and several PMs he got the claims paperwork and filled it out...i didn't have much hope at this point in getting any $$ from UPS but figured "what the heck". about 2 mo after this all happened i got my $$ from UPS for the price of a replacement bulb and even shipping costs.

Slovan went ABOVE and BEYOND for me and i can't be more grateful to have acquired such a great light from a great hobbyist.

Slovan, been following your Elos thread and i'm really impressed with all your work. may you have the utmost success on the new tank!
