Acrylis Question
Hello everyone.
Still getting air bubbles after all of this.
The edge is a good clean non melted edge. I then proceed to polish the edge to get rid of all blade marks. I will sandwich the acrylic between some squared off pieces of wood so that the acrylics edge is flush with the woods edge. This way I get a non beveled edge when I am done sanding. I start off with 220grit then goto 400 grit. Its not a see through edge but there are no defects in the edge. But I think that I need to do something else as I am still getting alot of air bubbles when glueing. I am using guitar string for the pin method, with a .011" string. When glueing I let the glue run out of the bottle I don't squeeze, I let the glue run ahead of the nozzle. Does any of this sound wrong. Any suggestion on why I am getting air bubbles. I have taken a dial indicator to my tabel saw to see if my blade running true and its only out .002". So I know I am getting square cuts. Any help would be appreciated.
