Where can I buy nice colored Nudibranchs? I have seen some amazing colorations and am interested in getting some.

Thanks

Before you run out and buy any, you should consider that they usually are very specialized feeders and therefore normally won't last long in captivity - unfortunately because they are as you also have noticed very beautiful

This page has a lot of info: http://www.seaslugforum.net/

Mastou is right, the prettiest ones (chromodorids and other dorids), and most/all of the others, in fact, are almost impossible to keep in a reef tank. They either eat up the suitable food and then die of starvation or, more likely, they start starving to death immediately after you introduce them, since it's highly improbable that you're growing the specific sponges or other food sources that the nudibranchs will need. Some may even release toxins into your tank when they die or are stressed. They are beautiful, but you should probably resist the temptation to buy these animals.

Cheers,

Don

Local store had them, I bought Chromodoris magnifica and C. quadricolor. Later learned, that they require particular sponge to feed on, the seller didn't had them. Bought all available sponges and sponge-containing food from all LFS, but the slugs didn't eat anything. One sponge and sea slugs caused the tank crash (I have no other explanation), died themselves and poisoned the others.

Beware.
They are really nice looking, but knowing that they have nothing to eat in the tank, and no chance to get this food...
