Talking protien skimmer

Greetings,

I have Euroreef RS6-2 skimmer and am looking at changing it out to a aqua medic Turboflotor 5000 Shorty. The reason for me wanting to do this is to get the skimmer out of my sump (for heat and room) and to get better skimming. Am I wasting my time and money? Has anybody used these skimmers?

I am also using an A&B (Calcium/Carbonite) drip and am thinking about going with a calcium reactor with PH controller. Is this a good move.... Wow there is alot to this stuff.

I use the AQUAMEDIC TURBOFLOTOR `Multi` HANG ON SKIMMER outside of my sump. i think it works great. I also like the bubble traps that come with this. I would reccomend this skimmer
