Paint for Stand
I just picked up a Pine stand with Oak finish from cougarguy, and I want to paint it (probably black, possibly some other color). Anyways, Since it's already poly'd at least on the outside, and I don't really want to sand it, anyone have any recommendations on a paint that will do well on top of the existing poly? I'd be going back and re-polying it afterwards.
Thanks, ~Brian

you'll need to sand it to rough up the surface so the paint will have something to "grab" onto. otherwise eventually it will peel off

I would recommend a oil base paint. Since it is already finished with an oil based product, but definitly rough it up with sand paper first. Call Sherman Williams they will be able to tell you!
