firefish

I have had two firefish for a little over a year now. About a month ago one has been extremelly aggressive towards the other. Within the last week, the aggression has stopped. Is this a sign of them mating? If so, what should I look for. They are very good hiders, so to look for eggs would be difficult.

Firefish have been bred in captivity, and aggression is noted in their breeding behavior.
