Hamilton Reefstar

Anyone one Hamilton Reefstar pendant? Could you post pics of the light, I can't seem to find a decent pictures for this pendant anywhere. Does it have slanted (triangular) shape on both side? I plan to hang this on open top tank and it seem to be the best looking one. Also would 2x 150W cover 72"L x 30"W x 25"H tank?

Thanks.

Hi, I don't own one. But I do plan on getting this pendant for my 36g corner. I have researched a lot of pendants. I feel as if you could go a lot of directions and be happy... but Hamilton tech is pretty solid lighting systems. You can view them at Marine Depot or Hamilton Tech website among several other sites.

I would say for that size tank you may want 3x250w pendants. I think all 6ft tanks have two braces. You will definitely want to place a pendant over each section. For 25" tall tank you want at least the 250w. 150w would not be enough. Sorry, I just cost you more money.

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to make sure the reflector light coverage. Hope that it'll cover 36x30, but look like it's can't? Sorry I forgot to state that this is for FW plant tank, so I don't need too much intensity.

The pics provided by marine depot and hamilton is so small, doesn't provide enough details, and didn't give me the view from many angles. I am hoping to get some real world usage (mounted) pics of this pendant.

Thanks again.

Here is a pic, sorry only one i had. Had these 2 on my 180 and a reef optix III pendant in middle. I like the Reef Optic III better than the 2 reefstars, Better Reflector in my opinion

Thanks for the picture, that is what I needed. Wonder why they decide to have a flat back instead of symmetric on both side...

Look like Reef Optix 3 is better option then. Do you think one reef optix 3 hanging 12"-15" from water line cover 36x30?

Thanks.
