Getting out

I am getting close to graduating, which means I will most likely be moving around and applying for a grad program and internships soon. The last few months I have not had the time or patience that is needed to keep the tanks. The live rock in the 10 gallon tank is Fiji live rock and has a lot of pods and other stuff growing on it. It is however slightly overrun with some sort of algae. The larger tank has recently had an outbreak of small bubble algae. I have removed a lot of the larger bubbles, but there are still a fair amount of smaller ones. Also, the rock in the larger tank is denser than the 10 gallon tank; the larger pieces would be good for base rock. There are a lot of smaller pieces as well. I have had the clowns for around 2 years and the shrimp for about a year.

29 Gallon Setup:

-30” Orbit Compact Fluorescent Lights 2x65 watts, 2 lunar lights, extra Sunpaq 65w Dual Actinic bulb (a little over a year old)
-AquaC Remora Skimmer w/ Filter Box
-Approximately 40-55 lbs. live rock
-There are a couple pumps (maxijets) that are not moving as much water as they should…..I have never taken them apart, so I don’t know if they are simply jammed or not

10 Gallon Setup:

-20” Orbit Compact Fluorescent Lights 2x40 watts, 2 lunar lights (about 9 months old)
-Approximately 20 lbs of live rock
-I have set up a custom external pump, with U-tubes ran by a Mag 3, Originally I had a SQWD that alternated between the two outputs, but it jammed so now it is just a Y-splitter

Livestock:
2 false percula clowns
1 cleaner shrimp
1 peppermint shrimp
There is also some xenia, mushrooms and a few other soft corals

Miscellaneous:
2 bottles of Purple UP
Portable Refractometer
A couple of air pumps
Various Test kits
Joes juice
Instant Ocean Salt
I also have an American DJ circuit board type thing that I don’t think I will need
3 books:
The marine aquarium problem solver by Nick Dkin
Aquarium Corals by Eric Borneman
The Conscientious Marine Aquarist by Robert Fenner

I have not come up with any prices yet, as the fish and livestock have to go first, but after that I will get prices on everything. If you have any question please email me at zwagg2@uis.edu and zlwags85@yahoo.com My yahoo account has been down for a couple of days, so to be safe please email me at both.

Replys sent, also I should mention that I drive from Peoria to Champagne nearly ever weekend. So anyone near that path would not be a problem to meet either.

Not to be a jerk, but RC requires prices in FS threads. You can even ask $50/lb for liverock and put OBO, but you need to have some kind of price.

I can get pictures up if anyone would like them.

I also forgot to mention that I will be selling my RODI unit. It is a typhoon series unit from airwaterice.com It is a 5 stage unit and has a TDS meter, faucet adaptaer, garden hose adapter, and a in-line adapter, wrench, tubing, etc. It works great except that I cracked a double sided nipple which connects two of the chambers a couple weeks ago....adding to my frustrations. It is a very easy fix, and I will call airwaterice to try to see if they can mail me the plastic fitting. I am not sure how much they are worth, I feel like I paid 150-175 for it, so I will be selling it for 100.00 OBO.

Thanks

-zach

I just went through both my emails and did not see a message. Try to PM me. My UIS email automatically deletes what it considers junk-email, so i can't sort through it. Sorry.

what are the details on the ro/di unit? specifically...number, type, and age of prefilter blocks...type and age of ro membrane...does it have a clear refillable di chamber or a cartridge-type di chamber?

thanks!
