If you have a FO or a QT tank you can do hyposalinety to cure it.

I used hyposalinity (1.010) for 8 weeks. Haven't seen a sign of ich since. Be careful and read up on how to do it....if you don't acclimate them very slowly especially on the salinity increase, you may kill them from osmotic shock.

One thing to consider is this, the fish are under a lot of stress with Ich. Catching them and doing hypo-salinity is going to put them under a great deal more stress and could quite possibly do them in. Products such as garlic extract have shown positive results in boosting the immune system as well as increasing appetite. I would not advise putting your fish through the stress of chasing them around the tank, and doing hypo. Just treat the tank they are in, as the ich is in that tank. Removing the fish will still leave the ich spores in your main tank just to reinfect a stressed out fish.

My only sedgestion is copper! That has been the only thing that has worked for me, i qt all my fish in copper for 3 weeks before if release them into my display, after losing about $1750 in an ich infestation and almost quitting the hobby, to me its well worth the qt. However everybody has their own methods which work best for them, but im tired of losing money. Good luck
