Searching for best Flat screen on wall HDTV unit

Need your help finishing off my tank room in the basement with 2 flat screens. I want the best HDTV to money ratio somewhere in the 3-4k range per tv i want big picture with high quailty, im a person who use You get what you pay for, so anyone out there with A HDTV on wall flatscreen that they could recomend would be great and the same with the cons who has had nothing but problems and the ones to stay away from

I have a 42" plasma (2 years old) by samsung and bought my parents a 50" plasma also made by samsung for Christmas. I did a lot of research ahead a time on different brands and so far have been extremley satisfied with samsung.

p.s Its funny the 42" I paid $3,500+ two years ago and now I can get a 50" for half that price.

I've had three and the one I have now I like the best. It's only 6 months old but has a better pic than my old second year 40 in, Pioneer plasma,(2400 dollars), pic died in 2 years. A 42 in Sylvania plasma monitor, (1000 dollars), gas bubble in less than 1 year.

I now have a 42 in vizio plasma, (800 dollars), Better sound than the Sylvania, and better pic than both the others.

Ehh well I'm no expert but the last plasma (Panasonic) I installed for grandpa last year weighed about 80 lbs. My Samsung LCD is maybe 25 lbs. Same size.

What size and LCD of Plasma? I have Consumer Reports and can post/email their best rated ones.

Our boys did the research for us and we ended up with a 46" samsung and have been really happy with it. We have not mounted ours on the wall yet, I'm just not sure I want it that high?

I like the sharp aquos LCD a lot, my roommate got one when they were on sale on black friday and it looks incredible. I think his is a 52".

I have exactly the same...not mounted yet. I also have 32" sharp LCD, not satisfied like samsung. Sharp takes 2 seconds or longer switching channel to channels. Plasma has light reflection on screen. Buy LCD instead of plasma.

My TV. Would not buy anything else. No plasma for me, Im all for LCD.

Agreed, plasma glare in a well lit room is horrendous. LCD is virtually glare free occasionally when its really bright the colors wash out a little but our sony LCD is old.

you need to consider where your going to sit, ill trade off the bit of glare during the day for the movie in a dark room anyday.........i have a 42" panny upstairs and a hitachi 62" widescreen projection downstairs with 7.1 surround..............i watch the panny mostly

The tv is for my basment there will be two of them one amonster for entertainment, games , and sports im getting hd satalite, the other is going in behind the bar and it will sit next to the fish tank so glare for screen will be an issue but the other not ty for all ure responses, and keep posting if you have any other ideas

I'm very happy with my Sony Bravia 42" LCD TV. The native resolution is about 768, but 1080p is not needed on TVs 42" or smaller. The eye cannot tell the difference between 720 and 1080 at normal viewing distances on these sets.

103" and 1920 x 1080 native resolution? I'd rather watch a movie on my Apple 30" LCD display with 2560 x 1600 native resolution for a fraction of the price.
