Yellow corris wrasses are pretty good fishes. They are really peaceful to other tank mates and are very hardy. When I had mine he didn't eat a lot of times I fed him. When he did eat, he ate mysis shrimp and flake food. If you get one and your wrasse doesn't eat, you shouldn't be worried because their main diet is amphipods. They will try to jump out of your tank!!!! Another thing is that they will barrow and hide in your sand bed, so you might not always see him.

I got a yellow corris wrasse because of a problem with monti nudibranch and he has worked great and became one of my favorite fish. Always out and about (except after lights out). No picking on anything. Very cool watching it dive into the sand as soon as lights go out at night. Oh yea you need sand with this guy 2 inch or better.

Mine's pretty good. Got it to control the bristleworm population and I can't say I've seen any in a long time. Seems to be peaceful enough to have not killed my Peppermint shrimps which I was worried about. It goes to bed like clockwork, usually about 30 seconds before the timer turns the lights out. *poof* into the sand.

I had one for a couple of years.lost him to carpet surfing!
Very active and beautiful fish and always a model citizen. The only downside for me was he came out of the sand at 9 am and back in about 6 pm so sometimes i would not see it for a week at a time. Just on my days off!

Had one in QT but didn't make it. I've heard they're delicate shippers. Where did you guys get yours. Local or mail order? Thanks!

Yes, reef safe. I have had mine in my reef tank for about 4 months now and is very active, has never touched any of my corals (lps, softies and sps). Got mine at LFS. Great reef fish.

My local shop pretty much stinks. But, they can get these in. Of course they finally got one and it's already sold. That's why I tried to order it thru another supplier. Poor guy just didn't like the shipping process. I feel horrible for not just being patient, but who knows when my LFS will get (if ever) another one. Any time I've had them order something for me it never comes in, EVER.

But in light of the recent loss, I think I'm gonna have to wait. I can't stand losing fish. Poor guy.

Thanks for the input all, I'm definitely still gonna get one!!!

I also had one that I lost very quickly due to carpet surfing. I wouldn't buy this fish again if you don't have a full canopy or some sort of protection from jumping out.

I absolutely LOVE mine! Funny story....

I have eggcrate on my tank so he doesnt try to jump ship.

I was feeding, which consists of dumping food through the eggcrate. He got so excited there was food, he jumped straight through the eggcrate after the food. He then bounced off my chest and onto the floor at my feet. I stared at him for like 7 seconds.... He kind of just curled up and looked at me like.... HEY HELP ME!!!

I couldn't beleive he jumped out right infront of me... Luckily I had a net in reach and he was only out for like 30 seconds. He was a bit shook after that for about an hour..... Great Fish!
