Is this an acan lord?

A local shop claims to have single polyps of these for like $60 per polyp. I can handle that...

Take a look at this picture and let me know if this is in fact an acan lord.

I live in the same city as his store but he will only ship. I don't like that at all!

Does he give you any good reason (if there could possibly be one) why he would want to do that? If he would want what's best for the coral he would be happy to have a local buy it I would think/hope.

I agree with that. I also asked him about ground shipping. Nope, he said only next day. That's just crazy when I am 20 minutes from him!

I think I will let it pass just out of principle.

In his defense, he is only an online store. www.roesmarineworld.com, I'm sure some of you have heard of it. However, he used to meet people that spent over a certain amount. In fact, I've met him once on a purchase when I first started out in SW.

I think he should meet you some where close to his place so you can pick up the coral if he doesn't want anyone to come to his house/store.

IMO, there's no reason why you have to pay overnight shipping if you are only 20 mins from him.

I agree 100%! Maybe he makes money on the shipping too or he is just too busy now to meet people.

Is he going to charge you as much for overnight shipping as he would charge me here in Fl? If so that is your answer, he is charging the max for shipping and if it's less he keeps the difference. That 60 dollar frag just made him and extra 10 or 15 bucks. And don't forget that $10 bucks for the box that cost less then a dollar.

No doubt! We'll see what he wants for shipping and the reason behind not meeting people any more. Doesn't really matter, I've pretty much decided to let it go. I refuse to pay huge shipping charges on someone that is local.

LOL, I've read a lot of negative press on them but my first purchase two years ago went well.
