Question Watermelon Alien Eye (RF)

Hi guys, I was checkin out reeffarmers.com LE corals and saw one of the new editions, the "Watermelon Alien Eye".

To me, it looks like a pimpin' Mycedium sp., but they have it labeled Echinophyllia. How am I missing the ways to differentiate the two species?

It's sweet, whatever the species!

It's not a mycedium, they have raised eyes. I can't believe Steve is going to LE that piece out, the OG owner is going to be flaming mad, Hugo screwed him over real nice....

Link removed - links to active eBay auctions are not allowed.

Bugsy, You post often enough in the LPS threads to have seen several auction links removed because it is against RC policy and here you go go posting an eBay link yourself. Please refrain from posting links to auctions bro, let's keep the threads about the coral and not the value of the coral or how much so and so is charging etc.

BTW, that is one of the sickest corals I have ever seen a picture of. Pretty crazy echino and I sure do hope that it spreads in the hobby so that there are a few pieces floating around in a couple years.

Hey Bugsy thanks for posting that link, like you wanted, I went to look at the pics, not the price.

And isn't people talking about if its LE automatically pointing out the "value" of the coral?

Funny how wording sometimes doesn't work right.

Great coral, and thanks for pointing it out.

Looks fantastic.

Dude, who are you? seriously....I don't want or need your suggestions about what I should/can do. If the mods dislike my post they have the power to edit it, and more power to them. You on the other hand are really starting to bug me....seriously

I am pretty sure there are more people around who have this coral, surely not as much as a regular pink echino though. In time I assume that just like those folks who thought their acan lords were caulastreas and the like, more people will report having this coral now that it is more recognizable.
