Peppermint Shrimp Babies!

How can you tell if a peppermint shrimp is pregnant? I have one pep. that I just got two days ago and noticed that it looks like there maybe eggs in it's belly. Maybe I am wrong? Anyone with experience!

No experience but I have 2 peppermint shrimps. I would totally s if yours had babys. I know zip about breeding issues. I bet if they do you will win a prize. I don't think I have ever read posts about having shrimp babies in the tank.

when i had my peps, one would have the big white patch of eggs mixed in with her little legs. once at night i took a flashlight and saw millions of little peppermint shrimp babies all over the tank and of course the mother still shaking off the rest of the babies.

it can happen, but none of the babies will live to become a full size peppermint shrimp. it is a pretty cool thing to watch though.
