live stock travel????

hi i was wondering whats the best way to travel with live stock? Cause i'm going out of town this weekend and want to try to get something from a lfs out there.

ohh sorry forgot to mention that/ i'm driving, it will probally be around a 11 hour drive

Big ziplocks work fine, or the bags the store puts them in are better if you can have them use the big ones. Make sure that they are not more than 50% full of water, they need the air for gas exchange. (oxygen prefered but for 12 hours, not really mandatory). A dark insulated container is also a nice touch to keep the temps stable and the darkness may help to keep the stress levels down on the livestock as well.

i dont really know but were going to san deigo there should be some nice stores out there maybe even better prices out there than here.and probally more to choose from

Go to the Club forums here and look for So.Cal or maybe San diego based clubs. They could steer you to the "Places" to go
