darkening convict tang

why is my tang turning browner by the day? its more up towards his head and getting darker. he is still acting the same and eating and everything though. any ideas.

not sure about convict tangs but most fish will change color with age

but it kinda comes and goes. like one night he is dark and the next morning he is back white. its kinda weird. i dont think convicts change color either.
