ID Please - some kind of snail in a tube?
Found these on a piece of LR with zoas and a feather duster that I got from my LFS. They look like sticks in between the zoas and the feather duster, but at certain times of the day, you can see antennae sticking out of the ends of the "sticks" - more like tubes, I guess.
Any ideas? Good, bad, indifferent? [IMG][/IMG] |

Vermetid snails. Look to see if there is sometimes a web of slime being extended out to catch food. They are not technically bad but their web can irritate corals and they can multiply.

Wow - thanks for the quick response!
I was thinking they weren't vermetids only because the vermetids I've seen look nothing like these. But shows you how much I know. :-) |
