Large Maroon Clown
I worked a full 10 hour day at the LFS so that they would take there reef tank apart to get me this Maroon Clown. The reason they were willing to do so was because she was always taking a bite out of the anemonies. I have her in a 125G and put an LTA in there with her. She doesn't go in it or bother it at all, or atleast when the lights are on. Will this anemony be safe?

I guess you'll just have to wait to find out. If the clown was destroying anemones in the first place, the chances go up that the clown might harm the LTA.

you could be fine. and dont be suprised if the she doesnt just dive into the anemone right away it took mine about 2 weeks to try out my LTA. ALSO i heard this at my LFS...that if your clownfish isnt going into an anemone you could tape a picture of a clown already in an anemone on the side of the glass that way the clownfish is like "he's got one i want one too!" how long has this maroon been biting the anemone's. my WSM bit the tips off of almost all of my LTA's tentacles but she's outta that phase now so you could end up being ok.
good luck- |

She was in a display tank at the LFS and everytime they put an anemone in there she would bite chunks off of it. I hope it was just a phase. Thanks for the help!

Try a bta, she will probably go to that first and not even bother the lta
