dosing kalk

hi, im dosing kalk for the first time. Its wierd ive been reefing for a year and a half and never done it. I have the kalk powder, ive mixed 1.5 tablespoons into two gallons of water. I mixed it two hours ago, its been standing since then. I have really thin tubing so i can drip it by cyphoning it with a knot in the tubing, but how long should it take for the two gallons of solution to go into my tank? Need help.

Most drip it just fast enough to keep up with evaporation.

I make a 5 gal. batch of Kalk every 8 days since my evaporation rate is a little over 1/2 GPD. It amounts to 2400mL per day. I have a gravity fed siphon that does the trick. I dose Kalk 24/7 to meet my evaporation needs. The slower the better to avoid PH rise.

I use about 1/2 teaspoon per gal of ro/di water. I now have 2 reef tanks (and my tanks are covered) and all my make-up water is done with kalk. My concentration is low so my drip is faster. I also have refugys to keep PH swing low.
