Rowaphos????
I am currently in the middle of an outbreak of Hair algae and what I believe to be Cynobacteria. I just read that Rowaphos is a good cure for this as it reduces phosphates. What does this product look like (is it a pad, liquid?), and where can I put it in my system?
I dont have any filters, I have a sump with a skimmer and pump and DSB. The main tank just has Powerheads in and a weir. So where could it go???? Also...I have a 100 Gallon tank...how much would I need and how ofter would I replace??? I see you can buy it in various sizes from 100ml up..... Thanks in advance |

It is granular, kind of like ground coffee. You need to have it in line with your water flow. You can put it in a media bag, although you need to be careful that it doesn't compact. For maximum efficiency you want to run it in a fluidized filter chamber.
