Where do you guys buy your fish and supplies?

Recommendations on stores? Good/Bad Experiences. I'm a newbie at this and I'm trying to set up my tank. I, also need a recommendation on a protein skimmer for my tank. I currently have a 65 gallon with a wet/dry kit setup so far. Any advices on where to start how to setup the tank would be appreciated. I'm planning to have a FO tank.

I think you'd be pretty happy stuffing an aqua-c urchin in with your wetdry. I'm using the remora (which is more or less the same skimmer) and really like it.

Do a search and see what other's have to say...

Here's where I got mine.

Stores? You can go to the BRS webpage and check the list of sponsors. Off the top of my head, Tropic Isle in Framingham usually has a very good selection of fish, fair selection of coral, and very good supply of dry-goods. Skiptons, in South Boston is a very good LFS with very knowledgable employees, good selection of fish, often a very good selection of corals, and competitive prices. If you're headed south, Coral Reef Aquarium (CRA) in Seekonk is TOPS - they pack a whole lot of quality and selection into a smaller shop. If you're headed north, Inland Reef in Nashua, NH has a quality selection of dry-goods, and they say they've just lowered their prices to be more competitive w/ online sellers. They also are highly knowlegable.

There's a lot more choices, but that'll get you started. Do a search of the Boston forum for other LFS'.

Ken

Please fill out the LFS poll so we have a good readout on which stores you all like the best. Details are at:
