Cloudy Water

I just started working on my tank on Thursday... I mixed water and salt and ran it for two days... Today I checked my salt level and it was perfect, so I added live sand.. The tank continues to appear cloudy, not clear like I thought it would... I'm a little nervous that I might have done something wrong. Does anyone have suggestions or opinions regarding my situation.. I would greatly appreciate it... Thanks!

Sounds like you have a duststorm from the sand is all. Some rinse first to reduce that. Others will use filter pads to help clear it up.

Well you should have added the sand first if you didn't want a sand storm. Now its just a matter of getting your LR in the tank. Once the bacteria forms on the sand, it will settle down.

Live sand tends to be very cloudy....depending on your filter system it should clear in couple days. If not you may need to clean your filters. Still should be clear soon

I agree with Dubbin. Once the bacteria colonizes the sand particles it will clear up.
