If it wasnt fully cured then you caused a recycle. Making readings false and ammonia would be the best indicator. If you dont have some test kits then its a small investment worth its wieght in gold.
Please stop getting them drunk. This thread sounds like your a ginnie pig.

Interesting about vodka...
Would try it on a 20g that's empty but running, What would be the dosage?
And most important of all; russian, swedish or polish vodka?
Live in SF so might go local for some Skyy

Before Vodka Try THIS Put about 2 cups of Sugar in a bucket Mix(make Sure to mix very well till all the Sugar is dissolved.) with tank water and add to tank this will cause some cloudiness that is the Bacteria Bloom you want this! do it Once a week and test again weekly and if at the end of 1 month it isn't working then try Vodka. Sugar is less harmful to fish! Also i would add 2 dozen Hermit Crabs they will help clean up any food that is missed by fish. Also Add a couple dozen Snail they will clean up the Algae.

If this does work its still just preventative and solving the reason for this is best.

I just purchased a "denitrator" after struggling with Nitrates at about 20-30 for several months. I just couldn't get them to go down. After about 2 weeks from when I added the unit, my nitrates are now reading 0. This denitrator recommends "feeding" it with vodka which I have been doing. It did seem to cause a mini cycle and I had a new diatom bloom, but that seems to be going away.

This vodka thing seems to be working for me so far too.

it says to do a dose every 4 days. that is what i am doing right now. i am getting algae blooms, but i think that's from the denitrator cycling. (which is what the manufacturer said it needed to do)

1. Tell me that is not crushed coral in your tank? Looks like a lot of rubble, potential nitrate factory.

2. Sorry, but you really don't want a bloom to occur. What often happens is that the bloom is bacteria, and they can easily use up all the available O2 in the tank. Which means they suffocate eveything else. Probably the main reason for so many disasters.

3. Several years ago I started at 2ml on a 29g, and after 3 weeks had upped my dose to 5-5.5ml. That took chronic nitrates from 30+ to 0.

4. Best and safest for your inhabitants it to start low, and just bump it up every 3-4 days. It usually takes 2+ weeks to see any reduction in trates, and that is once you have reached the maximum bacerial load.
I think you lucked out, and not sure how/why you would see a 200ppm drop in 75g of water. I suppose it could be that you help seed the additional 100# of rock, but still seems very different from all the other accounts I've read or heard about.

And, please don't go dumping a cup of sugar in your tank!
Do the same as with vodka, and start very low, and work your way up.
