Absolutely stunning! Some of their tanks good be TOTM's on RC. I wonder what their pricing is? Of course if you have to ask then you probably can't afford it.

I soooo want to walk in there with a wet, salt stained t-shirt and old jeans and loudly ask where the salt buckets and flatworm exit are.

I caught this store on a thread somewhere about a month ago and people who lived around there said their prices were pretty reasonable. It is pretty hard to believe that any work is ever done there, their store is spotless. I can't imagine installing that cabinetry and the hardwood floors knowing that gallons of salt water would be spilled on it everyday.

hi - I am one of the lucky owners of a tank designed and installed by them (Greenwich Aquaria)....It is indeed a great store kwith a fabulous selection of livestock and friendly staff who really know their stuff.
Please have a look at my tank - photos taken by Jonathan Hale, professional photographer and reefkeeper. http://www.reefsmagazine.com/featured%20tank.html |

Wow. The LFS looks awesome. It puts some of the local store here to shame.
Susan: very cool..I feel some peaceful looking at the pictures of the tank. Thanks for sharing. --Bucky

That is some FS! I think I'd feel out of place there, maybe give me a mop when I walk through the doors and I'll sneak peeks at the tanks as I go about my business.
Susan, that is a great looking tank! I love how it's in the kitchen and right out in the open. Do you do all the maintenance on the tank?

DaveBien - you are all welcome to stop by on the bus tour LOL - I'll have the coffee / beer /wine ready. I love to show off my tank!
Caragol and NewSchool04 - not to worry about the place being "too-too" - believe me when I say while the store looks "Gucci", the guys who work there are truly friendly, funny and normal (and for sure they have t-shirts saltier than yours), and prices are also not crazy. and yes, New School - I do all the maintenance myself for the most part -(water changes are easy - the RO unit is in the basement and a mag-9 pumps it upstairs to refill. Then its just sock changes, glass cleaning, dosing etc. - pretty easy all around. Happy Reefing and Happy Holidays! http://www.reefsmagazine.com/featured%20tank.html |

Beautiful tank and home Susan. How long ago did you setup your tank and do you have any recent pictures if those included in the link are outdated?
Thanks for sharing, Bill

J4Life - thanks for the nice comments. The photos are very recent - less than 2 months. Since then I've added two yellow-black striped pipefish (WAY COOL, eating like champs) and a few more corals. The tank has been up and running since May of this year - so just a bit over 6 months old.
I will ask J Hale, the photographer, for some of the "outakes" (he took HUNDREDS of shots!) and post them. Thanks to all for the gracious feedback - love these forums, love this hobby! Last edited by susan2626; 12/14/2007 at 03:13 PM. |
