What is my Turbo Snail PEEING??

I know this is an incorrect assumption, but I was looking at my lavender colony and I noticed a Turbo Snail cleaning the bottom section of rock it is mounted to. Then I noticed a white smokey substance coming from the Turbo. At first I thought it was taking a pee, then reality struck. Is this Turbo Snail trying to mate with other snails? I turned off the powerheads to get a better picture.

Here are the pictures.

Look at the 1 o clock section on the snail shell and you will notice a little nub sticking out. This is where the white smokey material was coming out of.

Other pictures...

So what is everyone's opinion? Should I do anything?

Thinking of a brief recap, I did at some RODI top off water into the sump, it was about 5 gallons on a 165-170 total system.

Your snail is spawning. Adjust your skimmer a little wetter for a day or two. Not much of a big deal.

What would cause this? The top off water? So is there a chance there will be a bunch of little turbos now?? That would be cool.

If the tank water was at 80 degrees F, and the top off water was about 70; would that cause it to spawn?

Hey Matt, notice the colony with the turbo? That was yours. PS the Rose mili colony that was tabling is doing awesome too.

I always notice my trochus snails seem to spawn when the temp fluctuates higher than normal. Usually sends the tank into a feeding frenzy. But I've never experienced deterioration in water quality because of it.

Yeah I guess so. And it happened right as the lights were going off so I guess the SPS were happy.

Once I had a bunch of margraites snails do that made the tank cloudy and a month or 2 later I had babies but every thing ate them (free reef food)
