If the colony can be broken up maybe we should pick it up and slit amongst a few

I hope you're patient. I would not recommend fragging at the current size.

Now that is funny!!

mflamb the way I am taking it is that Don Lino is giving congratulations on m3nac3 score.... I could be wrong.

m3nac3, that is a very nice score indeed!! Is the purple monster going in the 210 and if so how long has it been up and running for? That is a very difficult piece to keep healthy.

From what I know, a tank should be set up and running for a very
minimum of 6mos and even then anyone who adds any SPS are taking chances and have very high rate fatalities. I have seen it and continue to see it. Some get lucky JMI

Paul, Joey (Don Lino) bought the purple monster. It looks pretty good. I would not frag it in it's current size / arrangement. Nate (m3nac3) is making the 210 into a predator tank. It's a great size for a predator tank. The 210 is a 7 foot long tank. Nate also has a SPS reef that looked real good the last time I saw it. He seems to have a good handle on reefing. I too have seen the high fatality rate of SPS in new tanks. Not sure why. I've not experienced that in QT, even though they are basically new tanks when I QT SPS in them. My 390 will be almost 6 months old when I put my first SPS in it. How is your tank doing after the "bug battle"? That sucks, but I don't think anyone else would have battled it as hard and long as you have.

Ok, a bit of a misunderstanding sorry about that as well...thanks Mike.

m3nac3 that is great that the 210 is a predator tank.

Mike, I got a new batch of interceptor and I feel confident that the bugs are gone. All pods were annihilated and no signs of the bugs . Tomorrow I will do the 3rd and final treatement. Thank you for asking!

what dosage are you using?
I will have to treat very shortly ... found the bugs a few weeks ago. :-(

wizsmaster, The best way that I found to treat the bugs came from a LFS. Take a full tab for 51 - 100lbs dogs and dissolve it in 1000mls of RO water. Then add 25mls of the solution per 10ga of tank water.

Make sure you remove carbon and filter socks / turn off skimmer and phasban reactor or any other filters you might have. I treat for 24hrs and then trun everything back on and install filter socks. I do a 20% water change right before I treat for the 2nd time a week later.

Repeat for all 3 treatments.

Here she goes. It looks more like some type of monti. Maybe the Purple have monti or some sort... I'll look it up and get the name.
