smellfishy did you workout a pickup with jsl6v8? I need a confirmation that he is to pick your sand up - otherwise I'm assuming you are going to pick it up today.

Please post here on the thread.

Hi Carol,

Yes, ladyfsu got a hold of me and she has my cell number. She will either pick it up from me this afternoon, or I will deliver it to where she wants me to bring it, her choice. We will decide that based on when I get the sand and what she has going on at the time. I will bring the cash with me, I'm sure I can come up with exact change.

A HUGE thanks to John for going way above and beyond having to walk sentry duty. I have done guard duty in the military and it can be mind numbing.

See you all soon and thanks again.

If it were me by 4am i'd be freaking out. "To be with the fish.. I must swim like a fish.. I must eat like a fish.. I must.... become a fish"

I'll be there late this pm to pickup the sand and my 28 cents.

Carol, you sure made it pretty easy for us. Thanks for your effort.
John and Jennifer, as always, it’s a pleasure doing business with you.
I kicked myself for missing out on the last sand deal. I’m sure glad this one came together.
Thanks again.

Again, Thank you Carol, John and Jennifer. FAOIS is a beautiful store, and I hope to do more business there now that I'm closer.

Hey Joe - got your message but I was in HD getting all the parts together (couldn't get to my phone in time). I'll be waiting for you and I have something for you and Mike - you'll like them .

Andy - it sure was and it sure was a wonderful day to have it. Getting to meet everyone was great and next time you are down this way - we'll have to meet at FAOIS.

I have to say you are very fortunate to have John to help you out. Not all LFS would be so willing to pitch in with such a project and to the extent he did. When I first bought my store, I was totally overwhelmed! I actually sat in the car after the purchase in tears wondering what on Earth I was thinking! Believe me, 30+ years as an aquarist does NOT prepare you for the world of aquarium retail! John was very gracious with his time and sharing his knowledge when I came up against obstacles that I had no previous experience with...and all this without having any idea who I was...just some crazy lady on the phone! You really are fortunate to have one of the good guys in your backyard! GL all with your new sand!

Marcye,
So very well said about John and Jennifer. Thank you so much for taking the time to say that on our forum. Not only is John passionate about this hobby but he is also a compassionate person. He might disagree about that but with Jennifer by his side we all know differently.
Thanks Carol, John, and Jennifer for taking all the time needed for getting this to happen for so many people. I for one am very happy to have you both in my backyard!
