Ocean Floor's Thursday night frag swap

Just got off the phone with Dave and he informed me that the Thursday night frag swap dates will be changed for October and November due to the holidays. The swap will be moved to the following Thursday's: Nov. 2 & Dec. 7. It will be from 6 - 9 pm and he will be serving Taylor Street pizza. Dave stated there would be a 15% discount during the event for CMAS and OF members. See you there!

I've never made it out for any of these in the past. How has the turnout been? If I wanted to come just to buy, would that be alright?

The turnout has been very good and there has been a nice selection of frags from different reefers. People sell as well as trade and you can't beat the prices! Dave always has a nice selection to choose from as well. I can't think of a better way to spend a Thursday night.

Other then the swap itself, Dave is a good guy with reasonable prices and the store is amazing. Even if there isn't a bunch of swappers, there is plenty of coral to look over.

Im not yet a member of cMAS, can I still go to this event ?? Ive been to the store and its great, and now that my tanks running I would like to pick something up...

Is it possible to sign up to be a member at the event also ?? Or should i go to the Novemeber meeting to do that.... im only 3 minutes from the Schaumburg library anyways... =)

Yes, anyone can attend the swap. It's sponsored by Dave at Oceans Floor, but he offers an extra discount to CMAS members if you purchase items from his store.

badazztealcobra, I don't think they will be anyone there to sign you up for CMAS. You can download ther application from te CMAS site & mail it in or bring to the Nov meeting. Neither will help you for the swap tonight, I would assume.

Yeah, I had something come up and I wont be able to make it anyway.

I will definitely be signing up and most likely attending the Novemeber meeting... especially since im so damn close.
