Got a PBT as a chirstmas gift...

I was told that there was an absolutely amazing powder brown tang, at one of my LFS's, and if I wanted it, to just say 'yeah' and I could go and get it. So I did, and boy, this is an awesome fish. It looks like someone took a Crayola marker and colored it in. So for $52 I thought it was a deal. So I have a Half-Black mimic in the tank that for the past 24 hours seems to be accepting it into the system with out too many problems. I introduced her at night thinking it would give some time to settle in. Will the h/b try to just make it clear she was here first, and that she is the dominant fish? Or is it something that needs to be taken care of? It was pretty crazy this morning, they looked like two clowns that were mating...and now every now and then, when the PBT wanders into the h/b's territory, there is a little bit of tension...

Will they be okay?

I have a freind who has a really nice PBT, but we both think it may be a little crazy, it sees its reflection in the tank and tries to fight itself, it also has killed at least 4-5 different fish in his tank. All that, and it's only like 3-4 inches long, it's one heck of a monster.

Just keep them well fed, and they should do fine.

good luck

This morning, and most of today they were relatively peaceful to one another. The one thing is that I did add the knowingly more peaceful fish first, because had I added the PBT first, there would be some problems...

My hippo just died completely out of the blue, no reason at all. So I am now left with my half black and PBT in the tank. I have got two nice size pieces of LR to add tomorrow so the new gal will have some new territory to claim.

I tried 3 tangs in my 120... Didn't work... First fish was a kole, then added a Sailfin and Blue Tang... The Sailfin did fine, but the Blue got stressed and got ich.. Died 2 weeks later...
