SPS with Scribbled Angels

I'm considering putting a pair of Scribbled Angels in a 190 gal tank I'm just finishing up. The tank will be a reef tank but only SPS corals.

Has anyone kept a scribbled angel in an SPS tank?

i've had one with LPS and apparently they are better with SPS than LPS and mine never looked at corals, however if you want a pair they will most likely be bigger than the one i had, therefor pose more of a threat. i have a feeling its going to be hit or miss

I had a big male and he was fine for a while, but went nuts and picked at everything, including SPS. Each and every one will be different, though, so I think it is worth a shot.

Where are you getting a pair from? In my own humble opinion, I dont think 190 gallons will be enough for 2 big angels, especially if there's a lot of rock and quick growing SPS. Just my opinion.

The guy at the LFS had one in his SPS display that was good with SPS. If you can get it eating well before putting it in the tank, I think this helps a lot. If they refuse to eat for a while they can get to picking at stuff and decide that coral really isn't all that bad to eat.

I agree that it could be risky. With that fish, I would definately try it since they are really cool.

I have access to a source that is pretty sure that he can get me a small pair. And the tank will have a very open rockwork layout. It is plumbed into a much larger system with plenty of LR in other areas so i don't have to put as much in teh main tank.

Basically it is going to be two islands of rock one larger than the other with a patch of Seagrass off to one side.
