Everyone ready for this SNOW??

I broke my shovel yesterday so I guess I'm not leaving until June sometime. Maybe I'll finally clean the tank.

Hopefully everybody will stay up and running.

Ugh. When I reworked my sump, my return chamber only has room for about 90% of the back flow when I kill the power.

I'm doing some work today to correct it... but the thought of big storms makes me nervous. Fortunately, these beeping flood warning frogs that I got on woot.com seem to do a good job

Yeah it's times like this every year that I wished I had invested in one of those natural gas home generators but then again the $8-13k price tag just doesn't justify it.

I guess I could get a smaller portable one but I have to figure out a way to make it start automatically.

I thought You can buy one for around 2,500 plus the cost for transfer switch. Install is easy, connect a gas line and switch (somewhat harder)

I found a generater for a reasonable price but I haven't bought it yet. I don't know what I'm waiting for, but I hope my procrastinating doesn't come back to bite in my #ss.

Maybe the snow will hit Cleveland and turn Sunday's Bill's game into a ground game, shut down Cleveland's recievers. I think our two headed running attack, defense & special teams are a little better than theirs. GO BILLS!!!

Now they're saying around 2 feet in Rochester, and blowing 35 Kts+! Some of us in the boonies might not get out for a while! Then the lake "enhancement"... more like degeneration. But I guess this is nothing to those of you on the Tug Hill!

it's a freekin' free-for-all at Wegmans in Brockport. The parking lot is FULL. All the milk is sold out! I'm talking about whole milk, skim milk, 2% milk... you name it. I heard one lady say she's going to buy egg-nog instead. It's crazy out there.

who knows.
They're recommending people leave today (Saturday) if going to the the NFL game in Cleveland (on Sunday). Hotels in Rochester are giving special rates for Hanna Montana fans so they can stay overnight and avoid bad driving conditions.

For once I feel lucky to be in Syracuse.

Kurt, I'm gonna need you to go ahead and send me directions to your house. You left adult diapers off your list. You must be one of those "classy" drinkers.

Cully, we have indoor plumbing so no need for the diapers.

Of course when the bathroom is full the tree line works well too, although its a bit cold out there now.

the bad thing about Cable TV is when the power is out so is the cable, signal not strong enough to get to the house. Wish I had a dish.

well according to Josh Nichols it won't start snowing until about 9-10pm. He also says that we should be looking at 12" by 7am and should expect some sleet around mid-day to add to the fun.

Well...at least i can finally work on the canopy lighting. Nothing else to do...
