Thanks Larry...do you think you could set up a TTOTM (youth tank of the month) for us ? Or atleast explain why that would be impossible...

Much thanks!

It has been discussed, but it's not looking good. Finding one TOTM is often a challenge, doubling that just would not make much sense.
I'm not the person that makes the final decisions, but I don't want you to get your hopes up.

I'm 17 and have a 55. I was about to buy a 150 for real cheap, but I decided against it since I will be going to college in a year. Oh well, I'll get a bigger one later!! And besides, Nano Reefs are pretty cool. I plan on keeping my JBJ Nano Cube at college.

I think both Peacetypes6 and Blueleg have a 120. That's pretty darn big.

He must have meant 16.

For his occupation he's got P.I.M.P. That sounds like something I would put down. I'm also 16.

125 sps reef here....

when i was 14, i helped a friend of the same age set up a 1,000 gallon shark/ ray pond. We built it ourselves with 4x4's lincoln log style and then used a pond liner..... also had two 40 gallon breeders for sps frag grow out, plus he has a 200 show tank..... All except the 200 were taken down though.

He had a site for the pond tank..do a search under Reef Man...

Hey DgenR8, Okay so your saying that a TTOTM isn't possible, but what about one every so often? Pretty much everyone who has posted in this thread will back me up when i say our world is different. Although it seems that one tank per month cannot be honored, what about one possibly every few months or even 6 months? Or if you must a TTOTY (year). It will give us something to work towards, and allow us to set a goal. It will also allow us to feel the same amount of respect as all of the other eldery (jk jk) on the boards. We don't have thousands of dollars to throw into a glass box, which many TOTM winners do. Give us at least some hope!

Your request hasn't been ignored, it's one of many ideas that are on the table. However, this forum, on page 11 of an existing thread isn't the place to discuss it.
Take your request to the feedback and questions forum if you want to press on with it. One word of advice, threats like this, are not the way to state your case.

I agree...Anyone who wants to can start a new thread about YTOTM. You will get much more interest anyways.

Any more pics of our tanks?

I think that their would be one problem with the TTOTM is that how do you know that the people sending in the pics to win are actutally teens? Older people might put their pics in saying that they are 15 when they are really 35 just to win. I hope that wouldn't happen but some people may. So we would need to find a way to clarify that that person is really their age.
wastememphis- nice frogspawn. All one piece?
