ID help?
Are these flatworms? Are they bad ones? If so, how do I get rid of them?
I also noticed these tentacles coming out of one of my rocks. They are coming out and moving around slow and there are more of them then just the ones in the photos. The photos are blown up. The actual size is about an inch or less in length. Thanks

Very good chance its a brittle star. They don't like the light much.Put a small treat next to it next time you see it and he might come out a little farther for better identification.I just shot out live barnicles cause I've had several of them come as hitchhikers and they look about the same.

Hey another person from Berks county.
anyway back to the topic I used to have a 5g mantis shrimp tank with a bunch of mushrooms in it. The tank had a bunch of those flatworms in it. They would climb on the mushrooms as well. The mushrooms were never bothered by them. I have never had a problem with clear flatworms. IMO theyre nothing to worry about. The second and third picture look like a brittle star.

As for the flatworms....it's just hard to tell what their true color is....like are they pink?....or are they clear and showing the color of the mushroom? I'm pretty new at this so I'm a cross between learning and panicking. My tank is two months running and I haven't had any real issues...yet.

They are flatworms and brittlestars. I would say that the flatworms are not harmful. I believe the harmful ones are red flatworms.
