seems like that would be too much flow for the membrane, but what a cool idea. I am on my second boster pump and they are not cheap!

Nice score on the anthias.
My trio lived for about 4mths then for no reason stopped eating. I also kept my water temp at 78. Good luck !!!!T hey are by far my favorite anthias
A little cooler may be the key. Just a thought

jnarowe, I actually meant the made RO for the autotopoff. Not to push to the membrade. It's the pump image on this page:

bulfraw, thank you. You are probably right. Could be a strict cold water specimen.

Edward, right? I really like the look of your site. It is very clean, and makes the visit enjoyable. I need to spend more time surfing through it at some point.

Are you incorporating some Flash in it?

Melev, no flash. Just making it as simple as possible.

I added a shallow sand bed to my tank again. It feels like a whole new tank again. Love the look.

My corals are a bit more dark now since I have been feeding heavily to my corals and adding amino acids. I had a problem with my corals getting to light. Everything is starting to grow very well again and show great signs of positive health. Only a couple of corals were affected such as monti's and 2 small stags.

Bravo, Edward! I think it looks so much better now with the SSB, and I'm glad you're corals are achieving better coloration. Are you planning on siphoning the sand to maintain that crisp white look?

Dudester, looks like I went too low nutrient. I even noticed a crazy breakout of coralline algae. For many months, I wasnt getting any coralline algae, but corals still grew ok and coloration was intense. Then a couple of corals started getting light. Fed them, AA's, and removed carbon and now they are very healthy. I do plan on siphoning the sand as part of my maintenance. I bought the thicker sand so this would be easy and not cause sandstorms.

GSM, I have had that one for a while. It has been growing very well.

rishma, we both do! I cant get enough of it either.

Kigs, thank you very much!

Terry, I felt this was a good choice as well. How's your tank doing?

Marc, sand was the final touch.

nugz, thank you! I agree.

Chad, it's even more crazy now. I added back the 6101 I was going to sell. The water line looks scary. I love it and it makes me nervous feeling water may splash out. How's your tank?

Edward, frozen Cyclops ( not cyclopeze) is a great food for Anthias. Most will take it immediately but the few who don't will take it sooner or later and then there's no stopping them.

My tank is doing great . I'm in the middle of trying to figure out what salt I want to switch to. Naka has us all thinking of the HW and wondering if that is his secret weapon for such a impressive reef .

I love the Tunze stuff and yes as Steve said he has been very instrumental in me going back to Tunze. For Steves' sake I hope he and my wife never meet.....she's not as happy about the Tunzes as I am . $$$$

Jarhead, bad influence or good influence? I think its good for me. It's good to hear my wife tell me that its important for me to buy Tunze's. The tank has definitely come more alive now with 3 tunze's. All corals move now while in the past, everything was calm and sometimes never moved. I couldnt be happier.
I saw David posting his 6101's for sale. Glad to see he is advancing to the 6201's.

zooloo, thank you.

Lesmartin, i will see if I can find some today at an LFS. Thanks for the tip.

robster, I chose Caribsea Seafloor dry 1-2mm in size. I thought it would look very chunky, but it doesnt look bad at all. Im very happy and still looks natural. It's the 3 image from the left: http://www.caribsea.com/pages/produc...aragonite.html

GSM, thanks. I dotn think Robs is available locally, but i can ask.

Chad, naka has impressed me everytime I stop by. His corals grow as quick as the HGH tanks! He feeds his corals a lot, strong flow, 10k's, and good husbandry.

ycn, I havent cleaned it yet.. But I am assuming I will clean it every 2-3 wks. It all depends on how dirty it gets. Do any of you recommend any good sand cleaner tools?
