New Crocea moving, lost foot??

Well I have had my clam for a few weeks. At first I but him on the sand to acclimate to the light. 2 days later I notice the cherub angel hanging near him and him not opening. So I moved him to the rocks since I have seen some posts that angels have picked on them when on the sand but not the rocks. Well he opened fully there until the foxface was near by eating some macroalgae. So I moved him to a new location. Well he fell off the rocks. So I try a new spot and he fell again. So on I removed the macro algae and replaced him in the location he was open in and he fell again. When I picked him up I noticed he dropped his foot. He is slightly open and reactive to movement. I've been watching the angel and other fish to see if they are bothering him and I haven't noticed anything.

Any ideas on why he dropped his foot? Is that bad??

he's trying to move, i can't say why but a pic would help.

the cherub angel is probably the problem, they are not to be trusted with clams.
