130w pc lighting enough?

hello all, i have always wanted a nice clam, however i only have a coral life 130w pc lighting. if i put the clam in the middle or twards the top it should be ok, right? i dont want to do anything to risky, so let me know what you think.

A Derasa or Squamosa might be OK. I have kept both under PC with no problem.

You will get a mixed opinion. I got blasted for having a croeca under 130W PC's...Ive had him 6 months now and he is fine. It is located high in the tank near the lights. Clams are just like people what works for one wont work for another. Just sharing my experience.

IMO the opinions are hardly mixed i dont think you were blasted, people were just trying to help you out. BTW 4 months

the problem with clams and lower lighting is that they dont let on much that they are struggling. sometimes they will slowly bleach, sometimes brown, or hyper-extend. these things happen very slowly and if you look at them every day you dont notice the change, and to you they look fine. it can take a year or more for a clam to slowly starve to death from improper lighting.
