ATTN: AZDeserRat Cu affect drinking water
Hello,
Allow me to clarify the title. My small drinking water faucet, thats used RO drinking water had a small white plastic fitting that broke. So I go to Home Depot, and find that I have to buy the whole faucet for that specific part. I look around and find the exact same fitting but in copper. Will this work? They sell just the part. Much cheaper. I am only going to use it for drinking, not fish, as I have a seperate line for DI water. Let me know, thanks. -Retzius |

If its RO and not DI it will not have much effect if any on drinking water. If you let RO water sits for days on end you might get a slightly elevated copper level in the first ounce or two you draw but probably not enough to even measure. The first Watts Premier drinking water system I bought back in 1996 had a bronze compression tee coming off the bladder tank and it was there in the same condition years later.

Yup, it is RO and not DI. Yeah those little plastic fittings are no good. At least this Cu fitting will last me awhile. Thanks for the quick reponse.
