I want to build a 240

Any suggestions, other than using 1/2 in acrylic, and support under the floor?

Unless you really know what your doing, I think your fuggin crazy trying to DIY a tank that big. You have any idea how much damage 240g of water will do to your home? Seriously, just buy a tank, or find someone who has made them before to help you.

I would have to agree with Horace. Acrylic is somewhat easy to work with, but the liability is huge. I would invest more time in making sure your floor can support the weight. Also, acrylic scratches easily.

I think 1/2" will bow. A lfs has a 300 and its 1/2". it has a bad bow to it.
