I have 2 Tiger Sharks and really like them. I would get one for the front and one for the back in the appropriate sizes. Even on my 3/4" panels, the Tiger Shark is very strong.

And your reasoning is...they make very nice tank decorations!

Not to mention the fact that you like to spend my money. Hey, I have an idea, instead of the website you could start your own government and spend my money in as many reckless ways as you can think of.

From the guy whose viewing panels are spotless.

bite me Barry. The point in having two is so that I don't have to run back and forth. But since being schooled in magnets by Steve Weast, I no longer leave them in the tank.

In fact I have built one into a massive frag rack and it is doing really well. Also, I don't recommend getting them near your pockets.

And so the reason for having 2 then is...

How do you not leave them in the tank if you built your frag rack on them? Is it a dry frag rack for all the ones that didn't make it?

Why shouldn't you leave them in the tank? I have 2 on each of my tanks. I also don't like running back and forth and chasing them around. But, I leave both in the tanks all the time.

well, crap collects on them and you end up with scratches, at least with acrylic. the smallest little thing can wreck your acrylic.

Guy #1: What happened?

Guy #2: Well we drank beer all night and finished off with some Tequilla.

Guy #1: How do you feel?

Guy #2: Well, I feel like someone crapped on my soul.

Pictures? Be a while. I am starting to prep for a PSAS event at my place. The good news is I will probably clean the glass and find out what's going on in my tank!

One of my Vortechs won't stick to my tank at all now. Lost some of its magnetism. This is the second or third to do that for some unknown reason, and it seems to happed during shipping from Eco-Tech. I wonder if they are being zapped somehow during the process, but I would think heads would roll all over for media getting erased.

It does work on my QT tank, but I don't really need a super powerhead in there operating on low.

How long have you had it? I've seen that it is not unusual for them to do that over time...I'm thinking 2 years that they need to be replace. I know that the plastic coating on the magnets will not last forever. Contact Dave at Icecap and you can buy replacement magnets. It's only the wetside one that needs replacing I think. I can't remember the price but I'm thinking $15.00.

Forget that just rub it on your head you have enough animal magnetism to restore its magnetic capability.

Hey man. Is Eco-tech going to take care of you or not? I'm ready to purchase a few more pumps from them but this B.S. they are putting you through is driving ME crazy! I've been with you from a long way back and I just can't fathom the patience you've had with them about just wanting some goddamn flow in your tank. Help a brother out! Should I just go with the X wave which is a Tunze knock off?

X-Wave? Post links and pics dude! I still haven't gotten back to Eco-Tech yet. One more person to confer with. Should be able to tomorrow afternoon.

You could always purchase mine!

Here's a bit of it. The Engrish is bad but you get the drift.

wow, total Tunze knock-off dude. 3100 gph for $239? Very nice. Like to get more specs. I'll put one on my next order. Got to get some other stuff.

So Pacific Imports should have a Vortech knock-off in what, 12 months?
