how do u tune your octopus dnw 150?

just wondering,
how do u guys tune the octopus recirculating skimmer?
what feed pump do you use and how high do u set the water level with the recirculating pump off?

issit better to reduce the feed and close the valve
or
max the feed and fully open the valve?

im hoping to maximize the effiency of my skimmer..

thanx

I would feed it with less flow vs more. the more flow causes too much turbulance. maybe 200 gph or so.
