$250 at saltwaterfish.com when they have it (about 3"). I think petsolutions.com had the small one for $220 when it was on sale but I missed the sale when I decided to go for it. Reefhotspot.com have it on sale for $320.
Great fish and you will enjoy it. |

When it comes to pricey fish, I look around untill I find the perfect specimen - active, feeding well, good color, blemish free ect. Then I buy it; so long as the price isn't completely out of line. A few times I asked "is the price firm?" Usually they will come down a few bucks, especially if they had it a while. My goldflake was listed at $350, but the gal offered it for $275.

See if you can talk them down to $250 and made sure it eats before you take it home. 3-3.5" would be a nice size and they acclimate pretty well. The one I've is always swimming out in the open and eats frozen, pellet but will not touch nori.

They are definitely worth it, but be careful as they can develop a taste for coral. Mine was fine for a few months and then he decided to start picking on everything.
