Question PFO Bulb on Electronic Ballast?

I recently purchased 3 x 400W 20000K PFO HQI Double-Ended Metal Halide Bulb for my light fixture which runs on IceCap Electronic Ballasts.

I have heard recently that the PFO bulbs are intended to be run on a PFO ballast and they might get distorted running on an electronic ballast.

Does anyone have any information on this?

Marine Depot "checked with PFO and they've confirmed that there are no known issues with any PFO DE bulbs and any HQI ballast including Icecaps."

Can anyone else confirm this? still feel like I may be better off just sticking with the IceCap bulbs to play it safe,

You could ask this question (bulb & ballast compatability) in the Icecap forum. That is what I did before purchasing my bulbs.

I didn't know Icecap made an HQI ballast.

IcaCap makes an Electronic Ballast.

IceCap might be a little more biased to reccomend their own bulbs while PFO would be biased towards their bulbs, so i was looking for an UNBIASED opinon.

I didn't know that either, I thought they imported their halide ballasts.

Guess I learn something new every day,
Thanks.
