New Zoas picked up today...

Picked these two up today.

Pretty big piece. Id say 6" long.

These aren't as red in person. A bit more washed out until you hit the actinics. Then they glow redish orangeish.

That 1st rock looks great.. I would imagine what they look like under actinics.. Oh yeah I like it that you are going for something easier to take care of.. LOL.. Just pulling your chain..

The reds have a pretty good tint of orange to the tips. I have a feeling they will color up even more. Those lavender ones were very faded and didn't have much color. In a month or so they colored up real nice.

I have a huge aptasia problem, but with *Helen* my devil fish, I cant put shrimp in there to take care of them.

Efrain, honestly thats what I am doing until I can set the tank up properly. I am going to let it age a bit and see if I can pinpoint the problem. I still think I have some sort of pest messing with the corals. As I have some corals that are doing great, while others waste away.

I do, I will get a pic of them today and post it here later. The lavenderish zoas are on a frag plug and have been trying to spread for the past month. I have kept them off the rocks until now. They should spread like wild fire soon.

I got all the frags pictured from GoFish in Orland Park. The reds have been there for ever. Finally decided to take them home.

When they grow a bit more and I can frag them, absolutely! They are just a very small frag right now.

BTW do any of those have names? I know one of them are Eagle Eyes, but do the others have a goofy name?

Have you compared them to the names on www.zoaid.com? I'm sure some of them are named.

LOL, I was too lazy also & am not famaliar with every single name on ZoaID. Obviously, different lighting, camera, etc, will bring out different coloration--the mottled pattern & striped skirt look most like the 1st one.

I thought so, they had been at the store for a couple months too. Can't believe no one picked them up.

There is one more rock I want to get, but I gotta wait until I can afford them.
