Two of the sweetest ORA plugs!

granulosa / dustins deepwater.
Usually not that excited about frags but this two have tons of potential.
lucky enuff to get them just sharing- the deepwater is truly one of the most beautiful critters out there IMHO.

Is that dustins deepwater from LA? Looks very similiar to Naka's ORA deepwater IMO. Could these be the same coral?

Just got one (dustins deepwater) from the "nazi" myself, if anyone can get them it's him.

I thought it was going to cost double what I paid.

Here is a photo from 2003-2004 of the original broodstock colony of Phil's Granulosa. This coral orignally came from a hobbyist in Germany in 2002.

Can we be certain the granulosa is not surahoisni(spelling is all wrong but you know what I mean)

I hope they flourish for ya gasman! I am about to start the process of selling me system due to law school starting in August and wish I could keep this up. Sad day, but I will be back in no time!

GSMguy, here is the original parent colony when we got it in 02-03. I think I have some better pictures of it somewhere, Sanjay has had a peice for a while and he sent me a good picture of it.

Serioussnaps, no idea if the id is accurate. Granulosa was the name that the German hobbyists used for it, back then no one really knew suharsonoi existed. The branches stay short on it, rarely over an inch, I think that differs greatly from suharsonoi. Normally we dont mess around with scientific names on Acros, it just makes people argue. When we get a coral from someone that already has a name we just run with it.

They are both super adaptable, I think the coloration will be the same in most areas of the tank but the growth will be faster closer to the lights. I would just pick a place where you can really appreciate the growth form and put them there.
