Quartine

Hey guys so im looking to try to setup a quartine tank for fish i plan on getting, i have a 10 gallon tank with lights and stuff, how would i go about setting it up, just add water from my tank and observe for couple of weeks? would i need to do water changes or what?

How big is your display tank? 10 is pretty small IMO. Otherwise, yes, basically just set it up as a normal tank and let it run. Some people add food occasionally, just to keep it cycled. You probably don't need to do water changes often. I'm sure some people never do any (some people never do any in their display tank either), but nitrate will probably accumulate, since there is no DSB. It somewhat depends on what you are using the QT for. Is it for fish? inverts? prevention? or treatment? etc... ?
